Today I was delighted to see my Chinese friend Chee saying Salam to me! It was some out of the blue moment! I met him at target when shopping for the Christmas presents for everybody. He smiled and said, “Salam”. I answered and asked him who taught him this. It was defiitely the mother of technology, internet! The fact which amused me more is that he just searched for the Pakistani (or as he say Pakistanian) way of saying “hi”, is to make me feel home. It was so thoughtful of him. Now I need to learn the Chinese word for hi… :)
Anyways that helped in changing my "kind of cynical" mood.
