Break of the dawn!

She leaned back on the car seat. It was 5 am in the morning and she had been driving all night on the busy streets of the city. She closed her burning eyes and tried to soothe the pain that had been nibbling inside her. She had broken the trust of everybody even her parents and the only sister she loved intensely. Once again she was crying! Tears were streaming down her face, which had every expression except for joy, happiness and bliss.

It was useless to sit in that car which was roasted because of the heat. She came out of the car and slammed the door behind her. The outside was covered with a fluffy white blanket of snow. The trees, roofs, cars and almost everything was concealed under the heavy mantel of snow just like all her emotions were buried deep down inside her heart.

She walked for a mile or maybe more than a mile. Nothing bothered her. Not the wild freezing weather, not the slippery road, not the wind, not the silence of the night, not that she was supposed to be in her bed, nothing seemed important. She couldn’t think; her brain was in a coma. She kept walking along the sidewalk. She was walking and walking and walking and then running! She was running but why? To convalesce what she had done to her family? Get her life back? Ensure her safety? Apologize for what she had done? Wait, did she really make a blunder? It just happened, right? She couldn’t help it…

She didn’t realize when marijuana became an essential part of her life! This disgusting drug, the enemy of her life and happiness suddenly became her best friend; an ultimate cure to all her little problems in life. Just to get this drug she sold everything she had. First, her mom’s jewelry then her younger brother’s admission money, her sister’s car and then when she had nothing she sold herself….
There was a shiver down her spine. The trees around, the skies and the long silence; everything was laughing at her fate. The old pine tree whispered in her ear, “You filthy creature, you destroyed not just your life but also treaded over the little pleasures of your family just to attain the temporary gratification of that futile drug!” She put her cold hand on her ears to escape from the reality which had just knocked at her door. The bitter reality that she had been selfish and mean to the people who supported her in all the thick and thin moments, who cherished her achievements, who sobbed in her rainy days, who were always there for her.
She was a CRUEL DIVA, who had devastated the life of all….All….

There was an enchanting voice; the ecstasy of divine words gratified her soul. Just for that moment she was lost in the rapture of the Azaan. She embraced herself and again started walking towards the place where everybody was equal, everybody was forgiven, everybody was treasured and some were punished…the house of Allah…

She stepped into the Mosque and performed wadu and then Namaaz. Reciting the verses of Quran after an eternity should have been difficult but it all just came out of her instinct. It was not at all complicated. Allah had blessed her with the serenity of mind. She had asked the most merciful and beneficent for the forgiveness of all the sins and he had listened to her prayers….

She came out of the Mosque with a determination to change her life. The sun was rising, birds were chirping, the same tree was now smiling at her because she had realized the purpose of life. It was the break of dawn. She started walking towards her car, the day ahead was hectic, and she had to create her life again from mere scratch left in her hands…

I agree that it's really difficult to start a new life from just scratch!
After bearing all the humiliation and hatred it's nearly impossible to gain the trust of one's loved ones back!
All it needs is courage!

Excellent write up. Its never over, until it actually is. And we can never know until we reach the end, to ask, is it over? so till then, we need to keep on struggling.

As about mistakes; everybody makes em. The only difference is how we learn through them, and do NOT make them again.

Good work.
